Like Ford's duratech V6... smooth as sandpaper.

I drive a 2003 Honda Civic SI 5 speed and it does have awesome pick up; that's what makes it so hard to buy something else, and I haven't put a thing besides front brake pads on my car, and it just rolled over to 100,000 KM.

But I am looking at buying a Honda CRV, needing more room. Argh to lose the pick up of the Civic Si is a hard decision.

Sorry my friend but what you bought was a Civic EX (if it has rear disk brakes) with an Si sticker. Honda only offers the Si in manual.

I think they meant owner's manual when they said that, not that the car wasn't a manual.

I bought my Civic SI in 2003 brand new. I was impressed with the get and go, and the gas mileage.

I have a dumb question. Early on I let the oil get a little low and the maintenance light came on. I could feel the loss of shifting and the car stalled when I accelerated, so I added more oil and the car ran great. This was 40K miles ago, but now it seems that I burn through lots of oil. There is no leak beneath the car where I park it every day. I have to put in a quart about once a month. Somebody suggested using a different viscosity of oil, which I did but it still burns through the oil. Any suggestions?

I bought my 2003 Si new five years ago -- only one more payment and I own it! -- and I love it. Plus I only have 35,000 miles on it.

Even though I have no desire to sell, I was wondering whether the current gasoline prices have had any effect on resale prices. Anyone know?

I own a 2002 Civic SIR (Canadian version of the SI).The car is absolutely bullet proof. Have 104,000 km and no problems whatsoever. Car weighs a hefty 2744 lbs. and it's probably the best built civic ever made. I love the soft, comfortable ride combined with unbelievable handling. Hard to get that combination from many of the sports cars today.

I own a 2003 SI, paid it off in April. The brake light on the dash won't go off, the a/c isn't cooling, the keyless alarm won't work (even though I replaced battery) and if I forget to turn the headlights off, it doesn't beep beep like it used to. Anyone have any suggestions? Brakes are not squealing, metal v. metal, maybe brake fluid needed. Other than these few things, I absolutely love this car!

Bought my 2003 Si off lease July 2007. The car looks and runs great. The car is still bone stock. Haven't had time to do any mods. Don't see too many on the road. That's what I like. Other than that, the car is reliable, good quality and fit.

The 03' Si is my first Honda, and I was shocked at it's actual abilities in torque and handling. (Mine did come pre-equipped with custom Eibach springs and sixteen inch 45s though.)

Even being normally aspirated, the 2.0 liter 4 cyl still has strong pickup, and at lower rpm than some of the older turbo 4 bangers out there. Which makes it feel like there's a straight six under the hood!

Stability?:

I wouldn't want to take it up over 100mph for any length of time.. but I wouldn't want to try and keep up with it in anything else when it comes to the curves either.
