Nothing.
Fit a K&N 57i, add a big exhaust, stick a set of 16's on board and lower it and you've got the best sounding, best handling, most head turning, absolute animal of a car for half the price of any top of the range sports car on the market. The SiR is equipped with bucket seats front and back, white dials and sports steering wheel. You just can't go wrong!!!!
If the person with this car can contact me then please do at daveedwards@hotmail.com. I've just written my identical car off and need a quote to convince the insurance company that it wasn't almost worthless!! Same goes for anyone with this same car based in the uk. end date:end April 2001. thanks, david.
steven@carsurvey.org:
The SiR Civics have been available in Japan since long before 1998.
Best Wishes,
Steven.
The guy who says the SiR didn't come out till 1998, you're wrong, more like 1989.

Ah.. A Neon Sport.. not only costs less.. it also does the quarter mile in 15.6 seconds completely stock.. Great handling is virtually useless if your car isn't fast anyways.
I have a 1993 sir civic. They are very scarce and are a serious motor for fun lovers. The spec is awesome and fuel consumption is fair considering the performance. 0-4000 rpm a shade disapointing but from 4 up 'Anne Robinson' (goodbye). 1600cc std. on Jap import certs a bonus (your risk). Overall a classic car If you can find a straight one! If anyone can steer me in the right direction of a thorough specification breakdown or mods to this car ' davido'connor@ir.slr.com ' cheers.
What are these like compared to the CRX SiR??

Hey, I'm just wondering if you guys know if the Civic GTi is a DOHC VTEC??? If not I'll probably get a SiR Civic. Yeah!!!
I am buying a Civic SiR II as apposed to a CRX SiR, as it handles better; both have LSD (1992 CRX mk2 SiR), and both have 168ps (about); but the Civic has a better chassis... and bigger stock tires; sports steering wheel etc...
I am looking at a 1993 Civic siR that has a turbo chip and seems very fast, how much horse power does the 93 siR have? And were they good cars? Did they have the siR in 93...
Thanks, DP.

Hey I own a 1989 honda civic siR best car I ever brought and I'm just getting a turbo put onto it. its FAST
I have always had an interest in JDM Hondas. I think the best way to get into this is with a 93-95 civic si-r. From here minor modifications and conversions can turn an ordinary civic into a JDM masterpiece. When I say this I don't mean massive wings, bodykits, wheels, etc. I mean subtle touches straight from japan. Spoon, Mugen, Brembo, Apexi, Type-R Honda, you name it. Since the si-r comes complete with the almighty B-16 under the hood, there is no need for swaps. At a mere 1.6 liters, the engine produces upwards of 160hp completely stock. That's 100hp per liter, also found in drooly cars like th BMW M3, with a straight 6 at 333hp. What else could you want for under $6000?
