Wheel bearings: Both front wheel bearings were replaced around 40 000kms. Now it appears I have a rear wheel bearing problem at 66 000kms.
Rattle in the rear hatch. Cured the problem myself.
Stereo unit makes noise, especially in cold weather.
I love my Hyundai Tiburon. I really wish my car didn't have these problems as I would love to encourage others to look at Hyundai.
I wish Canadians could have the same warranty as Americans are able to enjoy.
Looks great, and feels great driving it.
I had front wheel bearings replaced at 56K and now the rear wheel bearings are bad at 74K. Too bad the rear bearings went bad AFTER the warranty expired!!
Major rattling in the rear of the car!!
Love my 2000 Tiburon, but it's giving me major headaches!!
My 2001 Tiburon has had a ton of problems. At 66,000 miles it is about to get it's fifth new wheel bearing/hub. The rear calipers and rotors had to be replaced. It has an amazing amount of rust for a four year old car. The parking brake cables are seized.
The warranty would be great if the dealership didn't figure out ways around it. Last winter the check engine light came on and it wouldn't start. I had it towed to the dealership and they charged me $35 for looking at it (under warranty) because they claimed the spark plug wires were bad and weren't a warrantied part. The same wires are on it 15,000 miles later and the engine runs great.
I really did like the car. I wish it was more reliable. I won't buy another Hyundai.
