1998 Hyundai Tiburon FX review from North America
"The best car I have ever owned!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Air Bag light stays on.
Replaced Clutch plates At 93,000 miles.
Replaced clutch slave at 93,000 miles.
Brakes replaced April 2006.
The cup holder is a danger to the CD player (sloshing drinks and electronics...yeesh)
Paint is chipping on the hood.
General comments?
This car turns heads.
The Tiburon can turn on a dime and give back change if it wants.
My Fiance and I live 70 miles out of town and the drive to work never stops being fun. I am a short female so the Tiburon offers just enough comfortable room for me without feeling like I am driving a boat.
This is what I like to call a creeper car, it accelerates at a smooth rate, and has a comfortable cruising speed (much to the irritation of this.. inattentive driver) of about 80 mph.
The stock stereo works perfectly with the alpine cd player that was installed in february.
This little car has taken most of its beatings in stride. I have never had any major problems (knock on wood). Most of my repairs I have been able to do myself and they have just been normal maintenance that comes with owning a nine year old car.
