Does anyone with a G37 ever got the strawberry milkshake of death where the radiator fails and mixes coolant and transmission fluid? Just happened to my 2011 G37x with 126k miles. Flushed out everything and changed the radiator and added an external transmission cooler. All seems well now. Transmission still shifting well.

This is prone to happen on any vehicle that has an internal transmission cooler inside the radiator. Had a 97 S-10 that it happened to. Fortunately the transmission fluid leaked into the radiator and pushed through the coolant overflow tank. No coolant thankfully got into the transmission. Just replaced the radiator and topped off the transmission which was 4 quarts low.

Same happened to me, although my S-10 was roughly a decade newer than yours. Chevy didn’t improve the design after 1997 apparently.

Yeah, the last generation of the S-10 pickup trucks (1994-2004) were a mixed bag of pros and cons. Similar to the Infiniti brand on review, they have been a mixed bag of pros and cons ever since their parent company Nissan merged with Renault.

You were trying to say Infinitis have problems like BMW??? Not in your lifetime dude; maybe you want to wish they would have problems like BMW and other German manufacturers, but never. BMW and Mercedes, you pay for the name; their reliability ranks among the worst. Japanese cars are a million times more reliable, and only every so often will it have any problems besides regular maintenance. My G35x never had an issue from brand new until I sold it 4 years later.
