244K mile update.

The car is still running strong. I had to put another steering rack in it, and while I was at it I redid the whole front end top to bottom. Also had to do the rear valve cover again.

This car is the best car I've ever owned. I just bought a 95 Q45 with 88K miles, and I still like my I30 better.

May 20th update, I had to change the timing chain tensioner last week, but it was easy. Still running strong, but the trans is starting to get tired (I don't care, it's been a great car). This is now my back up car, since I bought a 1997 Jaguar XJ6 VDP.

262K miles, still running strong, the trans still slips in 3rd gear. I thought this was going to be my back up car, but my Jag I bought has been in the shop more than in my driveway. Looking for another 4th gen Maxima or I30 or a 5th gen.

265K miles update, the car is still kicking, even with all the miles on it. I had to sell my Jag because it was a heap and now I'm back to my old girl.

270K miles update, This car just keeps going! I've actually bought another I30, only a 98 with 95K miles. This car is just awesome the way that it keeps going. Uses little to no oil. The only thing that it does need is a new muffler :/ Oh well, I like the way it sounds now ha ha.

276K update. I have now got another car, but I still drive this on bad weather days (current car is a C4 Corvette). Still starts up everyday! Still runs great! Transmission is a little sluggish now, but hey it's got almost 300K miles on it. I think after this summer I will be giving the car to my little brother for a first car!

282K mile update, I gave the car to my little brother for his first car, and guess what, he blew the transmission within a month of driving it :( So now the beast is being stripped of all parts that can be saved and sold. The car was great and I will miss it. I had another I30 (a 98), but I sold that to buy a 00 q45. R.I.P I30.
