Needed new headlight assembly. Hard to find, but not impossible.
I recently acquired this car. The day after buying it I drove over 300km in it. This is the first time I have traveled that far without being crippled up at the end of trip.
I also tested fuel mileage on the trip and was getting 40 miles per gallon.
This car is extremely comfortable to drive and at the same time fun.
It handles like a dream. It accelerates smoothly, corners well and stops on a dime.
I bought the RS Turbo Hatch brand new off the lot in eighty eight right out of college. It SCREAMED. Once you learned how to anticipate the torque steer, you could literally leap it off the line at a light. I used to get the biggest kick out of nine forty fours and other Porsches pulling up to me, looking down their nose, and giving me the finger... then I would blow them away. Handled like a dream too. On the first shake down trip I drove it from Dallas Tx to Padre Island to break it in. From Corpus Christi to Padre, probably averaged about a hundred miles an hour (in all seriousness) and averaged thirty five miles per gallon. The thing was durn near bullet proof too. I managed over a hundred and fifty thousand miles out of it over ten years before I finally wore it out. Still miss my little red rocket, pound for pound the baddest car on wheels, and all stock to boot. Screw Fiat, let Chrysler build the RS again and we can thumb our noses at the Shieks and the Germans both. Beep Beep.
"let Chrysler build the RS again"
Ehh, the review is for an Isuzu I-Mark. What connection does that have to Chrysler?
