1997 Jeep Cherokee Limited from UK and Ireland - Comments

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Air conditioning failure.

Electronic's overload.

Corroded alloy wheels.

Drivers electric window failed.

Cam belt needed replacing after 20,000 miles.

Brake disc fell apart 100 miles after main dealer service.

Engine would constantly overheat and dealer could not find problem.

General comments?

Even after all of the above I loved this car! It was comfortable and had all the performance one could wish for but I have to say at the expense of fuel economy.

I found dealer's to be unhelpful and in some cases totally unknowlegable about their product.

I would never buy another Jeep again.

You said the cam belt needed changing at 20,000 miles? But the jeep Cherokee 4.0L doesn't have a cam belt! It has a chain! So if they charged you for a belt replacement you might want to ask them for an explanation!

Good luck.
