2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport review from North America
"The most dependable vehicle ever"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
At 50,000 miles one of the connects for my sway bar broke.
Loud banging heard at 60k miles in the rear, was just rocks caught in the skidplate.
Changed the tires at 30K miles for BFG All Terrains, as the Wrangler GSA tires wore very quickly and they did not provide the traction that belongs on a Jeep.
I only get about 15MPG. But that's with 33 inch tires.
After 7 years, soft top needs to be replaced. But still works.
My rear view mirror came loose once. I know I'm really reaching.
General comments?
In 7 years of ownership, other than the sway bar break, I have not had one single problem. I go off-road with it at least once a month.
Stock front brakes lasted until 72k miles.
Still rolling on the stock rear brakes at 78k miles.
The 4x4 capabilities of this vehicle are beyond match.
With it's sturdy frame and short wheelbase, it rolls through things like a tank.
The 4.0 engine with the manual 5 speed has tons of power and torque.
Chicks dig it.
It starts every time right away, no matter the weather.
I will be buried in this Jeep.
