2007 Kia Magentis EX-L 2.7 V6 from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

Most underrated car on the road

Faults:

Nothing yet.

General Comments:

This car is a serious bargain. It is faultless against competition excpet for being slightly under powered. The specifications, quality and price are out of this world and really couldn't fault it so far. The Koreans have made huge advances quietly in the background and it is worth a serious look for any Honda Accord buyer.

2007 Kia Magentis LX 2.4 4 cylinder from North America

Summary:

OVERALL, a great buy, VERY HAPPY with it

Faults:

Absolutely nothing.

General Comments:

Great value for the money. Peppy 4 cylinder engine. The V6 isn't worth it in my opinion, plus this 4 cylinder has a timing chain rather than a timing belt, so long term maintenance should be less expensive & more reliable.

Great fuel economy for such a large car thanks to the 5 speed AUTOMATIC gearbox.

Comfortable ride, but the suspension is a bit on the soft side.

Throttle tip-in a bit too touchy for my taste, but you get used to it.

Very nice 4 wheel disc brakes.

Roomy trunk.

Advantageous warranty.

The center console armrest could be an inch higher, would make for a better driving position. The seat belts would need a clip to hold the buckle tight against the B-pillar when not in use, they tend to knock & make noise on a bumpy road... but I live in Quebec, most anywhere else it shouldn't be an issue.

The one that looks like a jaguar???

Interesting! That's not the first time I've heard my car compared to a Jag. (Mine's a 2004 Magentis.) I think that it's the rounded front fenders and twin headlights that give the car that European look.

Unfortunately, Kia changed their body design recently (in 2006 I believe), eliminating the Jag similarities and making the vehicle look much more main-stream. I'm disappointed in the change since I was hoping to replace my '04 with a new Magentis when my lease comes due next March.

I have a 2007 Kia Magentis LX. It developed an electrical problem. First all the dash lights went out and next the heater blower kept on running even after the car was turned off. Dealer has had it for about 4 days and still no word. At least they are providing me with a rental. Anyone else have a similar problem?

Am having a problem with it not wanting to start when I turn the key. But after wiggling the gear shift, it will start. I must add that the car is a automatic. Other than that, the car is great.

I also have a 2007, and my car did the same thing. You have to make sure that when you put it park, it is actually in, and it won't do it again.
