1977 Land Rover 88 review from UK and Ireland
"If you got to go anywhere - this is the car!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing went wrong in 30,000 miles.
General comments?
Very basic, but practical workhorse.
I used it for everyday transport to work, and shops, and holidays etc...
Replaced all the wheel bearings and brake shoes when I bought this car - that's it - nothing went wrong.
100% reliable.
I did use it on the motorways - but very noisy and slow.
Average fuel consumption (2.25 litre petrol engine) was 22 mpg.
