I agree, it's a great car - but now it looks too similar to the Camry and is a bit boring to drive. Replace the stock Michelins for a much improved ride.

FYI- The car came stock with Bridgestone Potenzas.

Dude,

A Pontiac Bonneville - a 'Vette - you want a sports car, get a European made car that has class and style as well as speed!!!

FYI- I have a 1998 Ford Taurus with 205,638 actual miles. Ford can be a good car IF you take care of it. Any car can at that.

I heard that the AVALON was the poor mans Lexus.

I did equate the Avalon with the ES300. That is so wrong.

My wife and I have been shopping and take delivery today of our used 2002 ES300. We drove an 'O2 Avalon XLS just days before we drove the '02 ES300. Nobody in their right mind would agree that these are the same cars. Perhaps the same motor, but the Avalon is definitely a nice luxurious 4 door Toyota sedan, but in hardly any way compares to the ES300.

I might agree the motor is the same, but that is all.

Disagree with me only if you've driven both '02 models and I will respect your opinion and agree to disagree.

I was under the spell of that nonsense before I drove them both. My wife didn't even like the '02 Avalon XLS much compared to a 2001 GS300. Git-R-Done!

LOL at the Ford Taurus comment.

I drive a 97 Lexus Es300.

I love this car to death, my dad purchased used when it only had 160,000 (2001) and only four years old.

We took the risk,

Its now 2007 its currently my car, and it has 217,897 and knock on wood, it still hasn't been in the shop yet.

This is an excellent car, bought new or used, used to save more money. It will last forever, and you get your moneys worth.

My car is still quite when i start it and i always forget that its on.

LCD went out along time ago, and heated seat did too (driver side).

My dad just found me a newer lexus es300 for $6,000. its a 2000 has ever option i have exept i have the integrated cellphone (which is also a plus even tho its old).

STICK WITH LEXUS!
