You need to upgrade your system every two years at least.

Lexus will give you two free upgrades, just contact the dealer and tell them you need to upgrade the GPS.

I had BMW and Benz before, and the Lexus GPS is much, much better.

The Lexus GS 400 is indeed an excellent car. Personally, I barely have troubles with the navigation system, and I haven't even upgraded from the Sep 97' disk. Maybe it's just because I live in a more popular state, but 90% is a little extreme.

I think 90% missing wouldn't get you 5 miles from your house. I have never had a problem with my GPS it is usually pretty accurate within about 300 ft.

I am sorry to hear all these gripes about the GPS on a car let alone a Lexus. Always wonder why people would buy a Lexus. Is it for its GPS or its performance? You guys should really feel sorry for those who are driving something on the road without a GPS. They must still be looking for their way home in time for supper.

I drive an RX300, and when I switch to my wife's GS400, I am amazed at the tight turning radius. Great for whipping into those sudden parking spaces.

If the only complaint about this car is the GPS, then this must be a really good car. Just get a portable GPS if you hate it that much, or if you can, replace it with one of those built-in ones.

I wish you could ratings on reviews. This review would get a sad face.

Nothing about reliability, performance, or maintenance. Just talks about the GPS? come on.

I have owned 7 Lexus autos, 4 of them never ever went to a shop for repair! One had CD skipping problem, and 2 cars went into a shop for fender bender! I finally realize that there are cars, and then there is Lexus! It is unfair to compare them to cars!

Is navigation is the only thing you have to complain about? It still beats any cars.

I welcome any comments mike (golshani@aamcomp.com)
