2001 Mazda 6 Sport 2.3 review from UK and Ireland
"Driving this car really does put a smile on your face - Zoom-Zoom!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The only problem I have had with the car is that the light in the boot was knocked off when I put my Golf Clubs in, it was replaced for free by the dealer during a service.
One other very minor point is that the front doors need a 'positive pull' to close them from the inside.
General comments?
I bought an ex-demo Mazda 6, 2.3 Sport with leather and Sat Nav option, with 17" low profile tyres in August 2003.
I drove the car from St Malo, France to Klagenfurt, Austria and back in November 2003, a distance of 2,500 mls and I have got to say that this car is extremely comfortable and smooth to drive over long distances.
The car has lots of room in the cabin and the boot and the leg & head room in the rear is remarkable and rear seat passengers often comment on it.
This car is one of the best I have ever owned for comfort and sheer smoothness, a XJ6 Jaguar being my next favourite.
