2011 Mazda Demio 1.3 from Australia and New Zealand
Summary:
A fun and very economical car
Faults:
So far nothing.
General Comments:
So far I'm extremely impressed and happy with my Mazda Demio. This one is fitted with the CVT transmission which took a bit of getting used to, but now I'm fine with it. I travel approximately 110km per day (5 days a week) for work, and I'm amazed at just how comfortable and economical this wee car is. It easily cruises along at 100-110kph and fuel consumption averages around 5 litres/100km, which is great considering the price of gas here in NZ.
Overall I'm really glad I bought this car, and have no doubt it will continue to impress!
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I'm the OP.
Well it's now 2026, and my Demio has travelled 166,000km. It's still going strong and has been extremely reliable. All I've had to replace is so far is the battery and regular items such as the air filter/brake pads/spark plugs/light bulbs etc. I also had a transmission service carried out in 2025, where they replaced the fluid and filter.
Still traveling around 600km per week and 'Demi' continues to impress.
