1982 Mazda RX7 1.1 from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

Sticks to the road and heaps of power

Faults:

I have had no problems.

But I had to fix the collapsed steering column to get the car road worthy, that cost $50aud.

General Comments:

Kick ass power.

Blow the doors off any car that is beside you.

1982 Mazda RX7 RX 13B turbo from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

Treat this car with respect and she will reward you with power and speed!

Faults:

Clutch Hose blew on the first week, plus the guy before who owned it before me decided to use semi synthetic Oil. Apart from that shes fine and runs beautifully.

General Comments:

I went away for a week on a holiday and I missed her, Can't stop driving her. Used to drive a Commodore, but got in to Rotary and all though I do love Holden and do support them, I am not going to go back to them. Hopefully my next car will be a RX-8.

1982 Mazda RX7 Series 2 12A Rotary from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

Awesome chick magnet!!! Best car ever!

Faults:

Engine started to wear out around 300,000k, replaced.

Transmission re-worked.

Flooded once, not hard to fix.

Needs a bit of a tune up.

Interior a bit worn, not a real issue, good for its age and considering it used to spend almost every day of its life out in the sun (Australian sun...)

Paint is old and not so shiny!!

General Comments:

Damn fine car! Handles like nothing else and goes like a bullet; friends won't even try to race me.

Eats piston engines for breakfast!

Very reliable. Just treat it right, right from the start. Let it warm up completely before you drive it anything above a stroll, use genuine non synthetic oils and change it every 3000ks and don't you dare even slightly let it overheat or you will pay big time. Do that and you will stay happy.

Awesome styling makes this a 100% chick magnet! Girls can't keep away from this machine!

Factory standard sound system is still excellent, I don't need to spend money there.

Interior is a bit cramped according to some, but for my build (I'm like 5'6" or something) it is perfect.

Couldn't ask for anything more in a car, once you drive it you love it. It really delivers the goods as far as sports car material goes.

If you do look for one, get a turbo model and start gathering up your courage before you touch the pedal...

I'm only 15 years old, and bought my RX-7 when I was 13 for $200. It only had some minor wiring issues and now she purrs like a kitten.

At any rate, awesome review man. I haven't driven mine much, but the one time I did drive it, it scared the crap out of me.

Great review, keep up the good work :)
