Love this car

Faults:

Brakes squeak (dealer said it's a common problem on these models, and is nothing major).

General Comments:

Smooth and VERY powerful. Air suspension absorbs bumps very well and it handles nicely.

The cabin consists of nappa leather, sound system is great, everything in good working order. Has a lot of gadgets to fiddle with in the car.

Overall, a huge improvement on the W210 E class and w211 pre facelift models.

Mine being the post face lift model, there have been some minor changes in interior and exterior. 5L engine replaced with the new 5.5L; surprisingly much better!

For squealing brakes, you might try turning the front brake disks (or simply have the surface sanded a little bit).

2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E220 CDI 2.2 turbo diesel from Slovenia

Never again

Faults:

Rear window heater (defogger) blew after third usage, key shell broke after 1 1/2 year (70.000 km).

Contacted MB, their response and the way they handle complaints is just like talking to the wall - they don't even read the complaint.

Some bugs of audio system software (remembers RDS data of previous station on same frequency - poor refresh)

General Comments:

The dealer service is excellent!

Car is extremely comfortable and safety is unbeatable.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

Can't believe you say never again just because your key fob broke and the demist broke, these cars are lovely.

I bought a new 2004 Mercedes E270, my Spanish number plate is 2814CSD. I have many electrical problems. It is the worst car I've ever had.
