But I keep on driving it, then the car lost RP-M'S while sitting at stop lights. NOW this week it's sitting in MY driveway. Because it has no POWER it won't start. Confused mystic owner!!!

My '95 Mercury Mystique causes many problems. The first 3 weeks after I bought it, it kept shutting off on me. Once it stopped in the middle of the highway and a police officer had to help me push it to the side of the road.

Secondly, my car kept overheating so I took it back to the lot. The car dealer sent me to his mechanic to fix it for free. It worked good for about a month and now it's starting up again. Took it to car repair and they tell me for some reason my fan is not coming on. Besides that, it acts like it wants to stall whenever I'm sitting at a light, my back doors squeak and this car is just driving me crazy!! I don't know what to do with it!!

I just got the 1995 Mystique from my mom for my daughter for free. Not a bad price.

I had some work done on it, tune up, oil change etc. About 600. It runs great, but the problem is the check engine light. I found out the under the hood wire harness was recalled in 1999, and only runs 10 years from the date the first warranty started. I can't find the wire harness, and if I could it would be about a 3000 dollar fix. So for those that the car won't start, and the check engine light is on etc. It might be this.

DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP CAR I.E. 1995 Mercury Mystique - There is a reason people call it the Mercury "Mistake"!!! I have owned several used cars in my life and this is by far the worst... EVER!!!

Everything from the check engine light blaring non stop, to the radio turning on but no sound, (speakers work fine with mp3 player), heater blows right in your face, will only blow from windshield not through vents.

The F'ing doors lock every time you turn around. I can't count how many times I've been locked out.

You can't even try to do normally easy maintenance on the piece of crap, because you can't access things like the PVC valve (under the damn heat shield cover?!!! Behind a metal brace?!!! What the F..., Ford?!!!), the ERG valve is wedged in a small little pocket underneath the stupid air intake that is as long as it is stupid.

THIS CAR SUCKS!!! If you own one and it's starting to go bad, dump it in a river, or better yet, park it on a tall hill and push down, hopefully off of a cliff!!

If you own one and it runs fine, just wait... Cause once it starts going bad, it keeps getting worse. The more you try fix it, the worse it gets. Seriously!!! Would not recommend.
