If the clutch had to be replaced before 36,000 miles, either you or the previous owner didn't know how to drive a manual transmission properly.

I'm still on my original clutch after 125,000 miles.

Yo guy above me you want some kind of medal. the first thing I did when I bought my 97 gsx was installing a clutchmasters stage 3 clutch. It helps put all the power from the engine to the ground.

Yo to the guy that said don't put a stage 3 clutch on a stock car hes right. Why spend a lot of money on a stage 3 clutch and not have to power to use it. The first thing you should've done is worked on suspension and then the block, few modifications have to be made before you'll need to put in that clutch. helping it get to the ground is not because of the cluth it is because of suspension and torque GET IT RIGHT!

I just bought a 1999 eclipse gsx, and let me tell you!! If you are looking for a sports car this is the car to get!! With a 0-60 acceleration in 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 137 stock what more could you ask for? It gives honda's and other wish they could be sporty cars a run for their money. This little kitten is a tiger!!

All of you guys fail. You're giving false information to people who have no idea. Let's get this straight, 89-92.5 4g63 6 bolt. No crank walk. 92.5-94 1g 7 bolt. No crank walk. 95-97 2g 7 bolt possibilities of crank walk. 98-99 revised 7 bolt, no problems. And 0-60 in over 6 seconds is slow. Get a boost controller, turn it up to 16 PSI. FYI, if you're under 300 HP get OEM replacement clutch. When you launch a car with no balls you want to slip the clutch to keep the RPMs up.
