2007 Mitsubishi Endeavor LS review from Mexico

"Best choice of SUV for 5-member families!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

An annoyance rather than a problem: The right passenger door needs a slightly greater effort to shut than the other doors, the other doors even my 3 year old daughter can close them with no problems.

A leakage in the left rear suspension got us worried, but the dealer fixed it in a breeze under warranty (faulty shock absorber).

General comments?

What a surprise! This SUV is the sleeper in the category. With the arrival of our third baby we had to get out of sedans and grow a little. We tested every option in the book looking for something both reliable and with enough room so my wife would not have any problems carrying 3 babies into the seats, that disqualified the Toyota RAV4, Nissan X-Trail and Rogue.

American made SUV's like the Equinox and Jeep Liberty had very bad reliability record, and the bigger SUV's were out of reach.

The Endeavor handles like a car, the steering is very sharp and I love the riding quality. Parking and driving around town is very easy, and a what a big help the huge folding external mirrors provide! They're awesome!

Inside the interior is very quiet and extremely roomy. The back seat can take three baby seats with no problem and my wife loves the fact that after the two older babies are released from their seats, they just slip by and can walk upright to the edge of the door without her lifting them from their seats. Talk about making Mom's life easier!

Front seats are huge, and unless you're over 7 feet tall and have to push them back all the way, the back seat has a tremendous leg room, a fact my boss appreciated (he's 6'4") when we went out the other day.

Fuel consumption is average, but a lot better than that of the Chevy Trailblazer, specially in the city (I know because at my job, every owner of a 6-cylinder Trailblazer complains about the fuel).

A funny thing is that despite all the creases of the body around the fenders and hood, the truck is very easy to wash.

Our only unfulfilled desire with the Endeavor is that we couldn't get the color we wanted (Dark Metallic Grey), so we settled with Dove White and turned out even better, it takes a lot of dirt for the truck to look soiled.
