2002 Mitsubishi Verada Ei review from Australia and New Zealand
"A very under-rated family mover, that's fun to drive"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing has gone wrong with the car as of yet.
General comments?
A very under-rated family vehicle. The build quality is exceptional. I went out to buy a BA Fairmont at the time and came home with this.
The 156kw motor has more than ample power, and is extremely responsive and quick off the mark. Fuel consumption is excellent in town and on the open road. Over a 700km trip we averaged 6.7L/100km.
The Sports mode auto was one of the best things Mitsubishi had introduced into their range of Magna's and Verada's, which shifts smoothly in all gears and is very responsive in sports mode.
It's very quiet and smooth inside, although the tyres that were on it when I bought the car were a bit noisy, but tolerable.
Standard 8 speaker stereo system sounds magnificent, especially in the front with the splits in the front doors as standard.
I would recommend this vehicle to anyone that's looking for something luxurious, fun to drive and still fit the family in.
