2015 Nissan Juke Nismo RS 1.6 turbo petrol from UK and Ireland

Nothing so far.

General Comments:

I test drove a Fiesta ST and the new Polo GTI, and was on the verge of getting the Fiesta when I saw a Nissan Juke Nismo on the road. I went for a test drive and loved it, then I heard about a newer more hardcore performance model in the pipeline called the Nismo RS. I waited for that and did a test drive in the manual and auto versions, and placed an order for the manual version a few days later.

Its performance and handling are very good; maybe not quite on par with the Fiesta ST, although it's very close, but it just feels a nicer place to be, really makes you feel like you're in something special. It's a bit higher than a standard car, and it feels bigger inside, and it has some great techy gadgets like the LCD boost gauge and G-Force counter; it's kinda like a little Skyline GTR. I decided to go for the storm white paint with the Recaro seats, which look fantastic with the red Nimso trim.

Looking around, there is not really anything like it on the road currently in terms of sports crossovers, and 218 BHP from its 1.6 turbo engine makes for a very enjoyable ride.

My only niggle is why did Nissan only release a 4WD version in automatic, which has much less power.

Very good car, but a manual 1.6 turbo with 4WD would have made a great car fantastic.

2015 Nissan Juke Acenta Premium 1.2L 3 cylinder petrol turbo 115bhp from UK and Ireland

Early days and impressed

Nothing yet - I have just taken delivery of a Juke. Very impressed.

General Comments:

Fit and finish appears a bit light weight, so comments on durability will follow. It's not BMW quality, but I didn't pay BMW money - nor was my previous Ford that good for that matter!

The small engine impresses with its urge off the line, and I am taking it easy, so it will possibly feel even better as things go on. Taking it easy has resulted in an average MPG of 44 so far - see if that keeps up.

Gadget count is high and easy to use - nav/Bluetooth/DAB/reversing camera and so on. All touch screen and a doddle to use.

Rear space is a bit pokey, but I knew that anyway - the split boot floor means the boot is large enough to cope nowadays.

OP here - 5 days in and today the nav/radio/bluetooth wouldn't come on. I think it's a noted problem on here -- hope not.

I seem to have got to the bottom of the infotainment issue, in that I think it can just take its time to boot up on the odd morning. If it doesn't come on straight away, it does after a couple of minutes - like most computer style things, this period feels like an age when it clearly isn't, but so far so good.

Oh, and take out the false floor in the boot and it's massive!!! Hope I never rue the fact that the extra space is freed up by the absence of a spare wheel LOL!! I think the fuel tank has reduced capacity to free up space too.

Still got the I.C.E. issues - but it's a gremlin I can live with. The ride is a bit washboard jiggly too. However overall I am happy - 4k miles in 6 weeks at 39 MPG overall - nippy and comfy too. Here's hoping this will be a long and happy relationship.

Three months and six and a half thousand miles in, and it's won me over - the ICE gremlin is really down to just waiting for the system to load - the nav is great, the climate works a treat, the car is comfortable, and that 1.2L 3 cylinder turbo motor works really well - nippy and 38.4 MPG. Even the shape is growing on me - by this stage my last car - a Ford CMax - had already been returned to the dealers after its first of many breakdowns and malfunctions. Well done the lads and lasses in Washington, Tyne and Wear!

11000 miles in 5 months and I really do like this car. Had a recall on the ICE done, which has sorted the slight issue there. Everything else runs like a Swiss watch. Just under 40 MPG, which considering how I drive is bloody impressive - the climate control works well and all the kit impresses. Cleans up nice too.
