Good stuff:

Very spacious inside considering the external dimensions.

Very versatile interior, lots of storage compartments, movable back bench, good space below seats.

Good driving position, easy to see out the back.

The NZ ST-L model had a good level of features for this type of wagon (keyless entry and start, good air con).

Bad stuff:

Boring, this car is a workhorse, people will chuckle if you admit to buying one.

Handling, my child's push pedal trike handles corners and acceleration better. Not sure what Nissan did here, but this car has serious problems with wheel spin from a standing start (and not in a good - yeah, I have so much V8 power, look at me kind of way) particularly in the wet. Also it does not like corners.

I found the seats quite average and uncomfortable.

Anyone considering this car should make sure to take it for a test drive in the wet and compare it to other vehicles in this category (Toyota Corolla Wagon).

The 1.8L version of the Wingroad is quite zippy for a station wagon. Has two sport modes if you like. A set of Tiptronic paddles behind the steering wheel + and automatic sport mode. When either of these are engaged, it's like a rocket. Especially considering it's a CVT.

As per all Nissan's, it's well built and will run forever.

No mechanical faults, just very boring to drive with no grunt.

If you want a very reliable wagon that is cheap to run, the Wingroad is great.

The car lacks any power at all, and revs very high with any movement.

This was the first car I've bought, and it's easily been the most reliable. Nothing has needed to be replaced (besides a set of tyres) or repaired. Engine seems very bullet proof. Clutch is great, gearbox doesn't crunch. Very cheap to run (gas and maintenance). Will get 7L/100km on highway and 8-9L/100km in town and traffic.

Can't expect much from a 1.5 in a station wagon, but it's definitely not a POS, and I can trash it all I like. Have had four people in it with snowboard gear getting up a mountain no sweat, and on an icy road.

If you can find one with low k's and are not too fussed about needing a fast car, I would really recommend one of these.

This car is a Wingroad, (aka an AD).

Great little run about wagon, economy on the open road is fantastic. Being a 1500cc engine, it's no performance car, but gets around quite happily.

It is a small wagon, so don't expect a heap of room - rear seats are a bit squishy for tall passengers. We manage to squeeze ourselves, 2 kids with car seats and the dog in with room to spare for the shopping.

Came with a GPS/TV unit, but is of no use to us in NZ.

Factory CD stereo is reasonable.

We will have this car for probably another 2 years, before upgrading to something a bit larger or getting a 2nd car.
