"Cheap, and unreliable for rookies"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

1. Front shock absorbers are to be changed every one and half years, because the weight of the car is not distributed equally and is concentrated on the front of it.

2. Right front brakes were totally damaged two times in 4 years, though the front left is OK.

3. Car does not start at low temperatures (-10C) if it has been not run for a few days.

General comments?

The car is very cheap to run - spare parts are not expensive, but if you have a construction defect, is impossible to detect it.

Brakes do not function at an appropriate level.

In winter, exploitation becomes expensive.

The car is very noisy inside because of poor comfort conditions.

Well, I don't agree you about the shock absorbers. I don't think the weight is not well distributed. My father has a 1990 1.4 with around 120.000KM and the shock absorbers still the original. Never replaced, and the car passes in the tests. And no, the roads here are not very friendly. I guess it's just good parts, as many others, of a great engineered car.
