1994 Peugeot 306 XL review from UK and Ireland
"Little niggles fail to ruin a economical, yet fun car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Very little has gone wrong with the car, just little niggles.
My heater hose split, causing the engine to rapidly overheat (only cost £40 to sort out though)
A couple of bits of interior trim have come a little loose, namely the door locks and the drivers' door handle.
Not much else to report, just an occasional squealing from the engine bay, but the car is nearly 10 years old now and this is to be expected.
General comments?
The car is generally a laugh to drive and in spite of a small engine (1.4) is actually quite nippy and has plenty of power for overtaking.
I average about 30-35 mpg, which is pretty impressive considering the amount of town driving I do.
If I have to criticize, the lack of power steering can make parking a bit difficult and some of the fixtures and fittings can feel a little flimsy.
