Just I'd like to said, this is the worst car that I have never driven before. The car is off the company (2002), and since that I started to drive this crap, I got a lot of fails in only 4 months:

Alternator strap (replaced twice in less than 120.000 km), the engine of the windshield doesn't work, the door-handle got broken (the door-handle of the back door as well), alternator pulley got broken... etc. Everything is plastic.. very bad quality. And the 70cv... in two words.. bull crap.

And the dust is filtered towards inside (the worst problem).

1997 Peugeot Partner 1.6 diesel from Sweden

Summary:

Small business transporter

Faults:

Rust on the trunk door after only two years.

Rust around the windshield at the same time.

Exhaust pipe broke after 100K km.

Pretty much every light in the dashboard has gone out at least twice!

The driver's seat is starting to be worn down (no, I'm not overweight).

General Comments:

This car has a serious lack of power, to the degree that it makes it dangerous in traffic. Overtaking is a big no-no. I seriously recommend the turbo diesel to anyone, no matter the extra cost.

I like that you sit high in the seat, above the other traffic which enables you to see and read the traffic very well. That was the reason I bought this car, plus the fact that it was dirt cheap compared with the competition. The reason it was so cheap must of course have been due to the lack of quality - I knew that when I bought it, but I am one of those persons that take very good care of my cars and I really believed I could keep this car in immaculate order. I was wrong.

If you need a transporter that can seat more than two (pick up is not an option) and don't want to spend the money a van would cost you, I would recommend you took a look at this car. But as your main transportation vehicle for the family, just get a regular station wagon - you'd be better off.

1997 Peugeot Partner 1.9 diesel from France

Summary:

Very good buy

Faults:

Electric lock on the righthand door starts making a strange noise, like it has trouble locking or unlocking, but it still works.

General Comments:

Very nice design, standard equipment with power steering and zinc plated bodywork is good.

The car is very well soundproofed.

It is sorry to see that in the first years of manufacture Peugeot opted for a big clock on the dashboard instead of an RPM dial. They have now corrected this.
