WHY do they make such ugly junk nowdays??? YUK!!!

I love my Aztek! I convinced a friend at work to buy one as well. We love them.

Having said that we joked about a report that said it was the ugliest car around and we laughed and said "At least it will never be stolen!" Personally I never felt it was ugly. Mind you I loved the Edsel as well! Cheers

Right on the AZTEK, it is not for primitive..., I loved it and want it back, even improved (every car can bee always improved) Now I want it back for 2007. Are you listening Pontiac? Do not kill your most versatile, intelligent outstanding products, just improve reliability and make it even more modern and "ugly" so all the morons will be green with envy!!

Honda element is one of most innovative, fresh designs of the last 50 years. Highly practical, unique, high quality SUV/VAN, just what people love and need. Lots of people buy them in Canada, no need for dumb FORD-Chevy advertising tailored for the uneducated crowd. Honda knows well what they are doing!! Period.

I personally like Honda and think that them (along with Toyota) are 1000X more reliable then FORD will EVER BE.

With that said, I still think the Honda Element is one of the most HIDEOUS vehicles out there. The thing looks like a wannabe Overpriced Scion xB. However, I actually like the xB, but I cannot stand the Element.

Honda element is JUST a box, Scion xB is a rather ugly box. Chrysler 300 is a pregnant briefcase. GM has nobody to do decent design.

The Honda element looks like something that a 6 year-old built out of Legos.

I fail to see where American design stands out overall, although individual models (mainly Chrysler) are exceptions.

The Aztek is plain ugly and no one liked it if you go by sales, not to mention reliability.

I had a 2001 Aztek, it didn't have any problems, but I could see them coming in the future. My husband is a mechanic, and the biggest problem is that just about everything in the engine is inaccessable. Heck, the service books show 4 hours to change the spark plugs. The spark plugs! It was a fun car to drive, but I am glad I no longer have to deal with the maintenance on it. I tried to change the air filter myself... never again.

I love my 2001 Pontiac Aztek with the sports package. My Aztek has 100283 miles on it.

The only problem that I had with it, is with a sensor going out. That happened only once.

I was hit by an 18 wheeler. We were both going 60 mph on the interstate. The only damage was cosmetic. There was no structural damage. With the gas prices as high as they are, I can fill up with 40 to 45 dollars worth of gas. This will last for a little over a week and a half. My coworkers is always talking about having to fill up every other day.

Some say the Aztek is ugly. I say my next vehicle will be another Aztek. So far it has out performed some of the other cars out there.

Well, I guess I am one of those people that like those ugly vehicles. I just drove three hours yesterday to purchase a Honda Element because I liked the way it looked. When I got to the dealership, they had already sold the one I wanted so I then looked at an Aztec. This is what I was looking for when I first started shopping more than a year ago. If this is what people call ugly, I would hate to see beautiful.

I own a 2004 Aztek Rally which has had a few minor problems like, faulty hatch and fuel sensor. Those were just minor and were taken care of by the dealership. I love my Aztek, it is the greatest car I have ever had. It is the people who own maroon or yellow Aztek's who give the rest of us a bad name. I am just sad that there now out of production.

I have a 2004 Aztek that has given me great service (25K miles so far). I like the ride, the manuerverability, and it has no trouble hauling a trailer. But today - I changed the air filter.

Does anyone have hints on how to do this? I had to take everything out of the drivers side engine compartment, just about...

Thanks,

I absolutely hate my 2004 Aztek Rally. 6 months after buying my Aztek, the transmission blew up, then a month later the wheel bearings. Then 2 months later, my steering rack.

A month and a half later, the radio blew out, which led to all my warning sounds going out. And now my transmission needs to be replaced again.

I've had to replace numerous exterior lights. This car nickle and dimes me to no end. It's a piece of junk, and personally I think no one should ever buy an Aztek.
