I just purchased a 2002 Grand AM GT Sedan and I love it. Its quick and real nice. But I notice that I can feel every bump in the road. Has anyone else had this problem? But other than that, It's an awesome car.

Yes, I purchased a 02` grand am Gt1 and it is great, acceleration could be improved, it DOES burn out a lot better with traction control off, the Ets button.. I raced a stock 03` bonneville SSeI and beat it~I did have a clutch pre-ordered so it did cost a few thousand more since Grand am Gt's do not come in clutch I ordered straight from the shop.. Well if you need an affordable Mid-performance car Pontiac Grand am Gt1 is great~!

Great car, handles very well. Some people complain about a bumpy road, but sports tuned suspensions are bumpy to enhance "road feel." You want to know exactly what your tires are doing for better control, and this car gives you just that. I love my '02 GT, had minor problems with it. Currently looking for new speakers because mine tore.

If you really hate your tires, turn off the ETS (traction control), apply the emergency brake, and stomp the gas pedal to the floor... best burn outs ever!

I just bought my '02 GT and although it kicks my '91 Jeep Cherokee's, but, it has its problems.. The first week it got it the windows belts broke. I had to replace the turn switch that these cars are so notorious for. And now, the rubber on the inside of the door it creating black streaks on the windows when I roll it down. I love the car though. Fine piece of machinery. Being a high school boy though it shot my insurance to 250.00 /month. But I'm loving every minute of it.

I have a 2002 GT1. I love the car after I replaced the O2 sensor. The top end of the motor. The turn signal... well let's just say if it can go wrong with this car I had to do it. But after all that I love it. Now I'm turning it into the sc/t.

I have a 2002 Pontiac Grand AM SE with the 2.2L EcoTec. For a 2.2L it hauls decently.

It's my first car, I love it. I mess around with it a lot, and I figured out you can pull the E-Brake up as far as you can, turn traction off, apply slight brake and floor the gas, and turn the wheel a little to the left and then right as you peel out; I can keep one going for 50ft.

Also you can turn off traction control (ETS) and put it in Neutral, rev it up to about 3,000RPM, let off the gas, bang it into drive, and as you do it, floor it and you can do a good peel out.

With the 2.2L its top speed it only 108MPH. But with the GT it's higher. I'm looking to get a GT sometime soon. I bet you can peel out nicely in the GT. I also hate the Rev-Limiter at 4,000RPM. You can't rev very high when you rev with your friends. LOL.

I've had my 02 GT for four years. I've replaced the intake gaskets on it 4 times. My directional works when it wants. I turn on the directional and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Any ideas? All in all, great car.

My Grand Am did the same thing, it's your fuel injectors or fuel filter or fuel pump.
