The Grand Prix GT is a superb car to drive. Minor problems.

One electric window motor replaced; headlights replaced with newer models; air bag harness replaced.

Bought at 5 miles and now have 27,500.

Coupe has extra leg room for tall people in the driver's seat.

Paint is superior.

Dealer service is excellent.

Am waiting for some slight restyling and will buy another GT.

I owned a 1999 SE with all the GT trimmings, but exhaust, and I loved it. I had an accident in 2002 with 124,000 miles and no problems save for a window motor (and I hear they tear up in just about every car out there). I am currently shopping for a 2002 just like it. I don't think I could be happy with any other car.

I bought a 1998 Grand Prix SE for my wife in 2000 from a car rental company. It had around 50,000 miles at that time. It now has 108,000 and is still going strong. The only repair has been the driver's side window motor. The rest (brakes, struts, and tires) are routine maintenance. Generally speaking we are pleased with the vehicle. It does have a few quirks, however. On any given day you can never be sure which of the electric windows are going to operate.

I'm not sure, yet, if I'd buy another front wheel drive Pontiac. If it gives me over 150,000 miles of dependable service, without the engine or trans-axle going, I will be pleased.

I have a 1998 Grand Prix GT. I got it in Feb. of 2003 and have had nothing but problems. I have had the passenger back power window motor fixed 6 times, a new EGR valve put in, back passenger side brake caliper locked up (in compressed position), coolant sensor went out, and now it doesn't idle. It revs up high and then way down over and over until it dies.

If it weren't for the awesome people over at where I got it, I would have gone crazy. It is under warranty yet, so that saved me almost $1,000 already with parts and labor.

The body and paint is superb. I'm thinking that I either have really bad luck on this car or if it is a lemon. Oh, it has 75,500 miles on it now.

I have a 1998 Grand Prix GT that I bought in may 2004. The only problem that I have had with my car is the air bag light. I love my car & I have had many compliments on it.
