2001 Pontiac Sunfire:

I purchased the car brand new out of the showroom and have had no complaints. I come from a family of mechanics so taking care of your car is important.3 years and going and no major problems, just the usual maintainence any car would require. I have the hubcaps on vehicle and hey, they aren't the greatest. They get the usual dents and scratches. At the time, I didn't want to wait 3 more months for alloy rims and $3000 more. Either way, I think the car was worth the money, and it wasnt a lot. No heating problems here!

I purchased my 2001 Pontiac Sunfire from the showroom in Feb. 2002. I was pleased with the way it ran up until this past year. I have been the only person to drive the car and given it proper and timely maintenance.

Since about 6 months ago, my "check engine" light has been on. I've had it turned off several times and also I've tried to fix things that go along with the code, for example a new gas cap. Recently (past 3 months), after highway trips, every indicator light goes on, all at the same time, after this, all gauges (except the speedometer) drop. They (the indicator lights) all go off after the car is turned off and on again. This problem has happened over 5 times in the past 3 months.

After several trips to the shop, my mechanic has not found anything wrong with the car itself.

Within the past 2 days, a new indicator light, which I haven't seen before is sporadically now showing, it is a red box with water at the bottom and a down arrow. This came on twice and both times the temperature gauge has risen to 260. I am fed up with these indicators, not indicating anything!!!
