1992 Pontiac Trans Sport SE 3.8 Litre from North America

Faults:

Just a few minor problems, premature corrosion in the cooling system caused radiator and water pump to be replaced at 80,000 miles.

Windshield leaks.

Cup dispenser is easily broken.

Electronic dash gauges malfunctioned and had to be replaced at 68,000 miles.

General Comments:

Overall this vehicle is a gem. The 3.8 litre motor is powerful and extremely reliable. The vehicle is comfortable to drive and maintain. For the money this vehicle is a bargain and very affordable to operate. I feel this is a VERY solid mini van, well worth the investment.

My 1992 Transport has 166,000 miles on it with no signs of stopping. I had to replace the radiator and hoses at 130,000 miles, but have not seen a mechanic for repair since. It still looks great-no rust! Love it so much, we bought a 1994 Oldsmobile Silhouette for my husband. It has 125,000 miles and going strong!

I love this van. Have had no problems at all. Highely recomended. Read on the internet that this is the sports car for the family man, I agree!

1992 Pontiac Trans Sport 3.8 Fuel Injection from North America

Faults:

Water pump went out in warranty, but replaced for free. Transmission has a little whine but works fine.

General Comments:

Nice smooth ride, with above average power for a mini van. Gas mileage is 27 MPG on the highway and 24 in the city. The plastic body really does help on door dings and still looks good.

1992 Pontiac Trans Sport from North America

Faults:

Replace transmission belt.

Front dash has come up and it is difficult and costly to repair.

General Comments:

The car is comfortable and easy to drive. I'm a single woman, so appreciate the ease of removing and replacing the seats. My only complaint is that the steering wheel is slightly off center with the driver's seat. It makes it a little uncomfortable to drive when you aren't accustomed to it.
