I have had the car 18 months and the car steers towards the left and therefore caused wear on the front left hand side tyre which has had to be replaced.
The car also started to backfire which was due to a faulty coil which has now been replaced.
For 26 thousand miles all four brake pads have now been replaced, which the never happened when I had my peugeot 205 CTI!
Performance is excellent, but wear and tear are costly for a car with 26 thousand miles on the clock.
I purchased my megane cab june 2003 which was a dream come true for me, in 12 months I have sent approx £812 on the car, cat converter
exhaust, tyres (after 6,ooo miles),electric motor for window, cv boot, although the car is lovely to look at, the drive itself is not as anticipated, it shakes over the tiniest bumps and gets blown to the side on motorways, apart from all that I love it.

26000 miles for a set of Brake pads is not bad going at all!!
I have had my megane cabriolet since 2005 oh dear nothing, but trouble in and out of the garage. Electric ignition replaced once now going again, electric window drivers side needed fixing, seat belts twisted-the most concerning thing is the fact that my car is only two years old and the front seats are very worn, I am a small lady and only have passengers occasionally.Would not recomend this car to anyone
