We have a problem with squeaky front brakes. Renault have advised this is a common fault with the Megane and they haven't found a cure. Has anyone else had this noise problem, if so have you been advised the same?

Could you also let me know if the Megane Expression 04 should have alloys?

Has anybody had a problem with the Renault Megane Sport rear window? The first time in using the heated rear window the window exploded and shattered. My garage say that they have never heard of this problem before and as it is this year's model I wondered if anyone else had experienced the same thing.

I have a Renault Megane Sport, less than a month old. The rear window shattered when I switched on the rear window heater. Don't Renault call this the see clear function? I can definitely see clearly with the rear window in a million bits.

My 53 Megane passneger window has been stuck up and down in recent weeks, took it the dealer and was told it my be covered as it's a known fault. Upon taking my car in for the work today I've been asked to pay £304 as it's the regulator and not the swicth and, of course, the switch is the known fault.

Robbing basts!!

New Megane Sport Cup, 1 month old. Used the rear window heat for the first time in the rain yesterday. Window now shattered. Not happy. Do Renault accept this as a known fault?

Just to add to the comments regarding Renault sport windows shattering. I used my demister on my 3 month old R26 and it shattered. Any one have any luck with Renault covering it under warranty?

My partner has a 2008 Megane Extreme II, she put the heated rear window on driving down the motorway and the rear window exploded. Garage said to claim on insurance?

My rear window shattered twice in eight months. Renault tried to get me to claim from my insurance, but I pushed until it was changed under the warranty. I've now been asked to take the car in for the third time to have the window repaired again. Renault has a recall on it. Check out the www.renault-sport.co.za, cool forum.
