2000 Saturn L200 2.2L from Bahamas

Summary:

On a scale of 1 through 10, I give the Saturn L200 a 5

Faults:

Back lights was recall.

Timing belt.

Front end. Stabilizing bushing and rod.

Wheel alignment bad.

Now I have all kind of sensors going off on my dash.

General Comments:

I won't buy one again, and won't recommend it. Parts are hard to obtain, and it's very expensive compared to the cars I have had in the past.

My wife has a Toyota Camry, and it is easy to repair and runs like a dream compared to my Saturn, and has better gas mileage.

As soon as I fix it, I will sell it.

2000 Saturn L200 ls2 3.0 V6 from North America

Summary:

It should be band from the streets

Faults:

I agree with what everybody is saying obviously, am having the same electrical problems.

To cut long story short we all need to protest in-order to be heard. because I believe if a 100-1000 people report the same problem to the news channels and have a street protest aboutit on local TV stations and CNN we will definitely get somewhere with this.

General Comments:

You think you are getting a hell of a car for a very low price, but mind you. you will end up investing your whole life into this car.

Do you know how many of these cars Saturn sold? 100 instances of a problem is a blip on the radar; it doesn't indicate anything significant.

2000 Saturn L200 l 2.2 from North America

Summary:

Good car with a bad problem

Faults:

I was searching the web to see if anyone else had the problem I experienced. After reading the posts I see I am not alone. This must be a known defect in the Saturn motor. The car stopped running, when I accelerated it just stopped running. I had it towed to the shop to find that the timing chain had broken and wiped out the valves. I had the engine replace with a low mileage used one (24000 miles). Now I have 50000 additional miles on the engine and it stopped running. It was as if the car was out of gas. It seemed to have compression, but the shop said the timing chain had slipped and wiped the valve out again. Someone has to know if this is a defect.
