2009 Saturn VUE 6 cylinder from North America

Summary:

Good little car

Faults:

Nothing major since we have owned it. Replaced things that get normal wear and tear. Brakes, struts, a coolant hose.

Initially bought this car very cheap because it had a bad transmission. My husband fixes transmissions for a living so no problem. A new tranny was pricey though. $2400.

General Comments:

It's been one of the most reliable cars I've owned. Horrible on gas, but it's AWD and will go anywhere! Great in snow. We are in New Hampshire and we get some pretty bad winters. It's like driving a little tank. The one of features I do not like is the automatic locking doors. I feel that this is actually a safety concern, not a safety feature... (Like what if I was in an accident...) Other than that I can't really complain. It's been good to me. Safe and reliable!

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Check the manual - many modern cars with automatic locking doors will unlock them in the event of an accident strong enough to trigger the airbag. They also turn the interior light on when it happens.
