I have a 2004 Saturn VUE, automatic transmission, 4 cylinder. I loved the car at first, and although, on the whole I am still happy with it, I have had some similar problems. The driver's side door sticks when you open and close it, there is a "tin-like" sound when you drive it (occurred just a few months ago) and I am also getting a vibration noise--like a poker card stuck in the wheel of a bicycle tire moving very fast.

Honest opinion--are these things fixable? And why, when I clean my windshield in the front, do the wipers make no noise whatsoever, but when it rains they are louder than the engine?

When you clean the windows the soap acts as a lube and keeps it quiet. In the rain, no lube. I would change wipers to bosch or something good. Cleaning the window with a special class deep cleaner will also help.

I have absolutely had it with my Saturn dealer. Now they're telling Saturn Corporate that they fixed the dash noise (sounds like putting a playing card in the spokes). I forwarded comments to a class action attorney. I don't think I should have to lose my shirt for this piece of dirt!

Never, ever again will I buy a Saturn... nor GM for that matter.

I own a 2004 Vue V6, 3.5 with the Honda power train with an automatic trans. We bought the Vue as a low price alternative to a Honda Pilot or CRV. I love my Vue.

It would have been nice to know if the complaint was a 4 cylinder (GM motor) or the v6 3.5 (Honda motor). Good possibility that it was his driving, but it could have to do with which engine was in the vehicle.

My family owns an auto repair shop. The only Vues' that I've seen come into our shop for repair are 4 cylinder or V6 3.3. The V6 3.5 we normally only get for regular maint: oil service, tire rotation, trans service, etc. I have noticed that all of our customers that own a Vue, like the Vue.

I would recommend buying any Saturn 2004 or newer, with the V6 or better, (this is when Honda power trains were used) I would buy another in a minute, highly recommend them. Great family/fun car!

For the First time in my 57 years on this earth I was able to purchase a new car, in Rosevile CA, a Saturn 2004 VUE. This car is GREAT & our Dealer in Roseville is OUTSTANDING :-) However:1) The 4 way flasher button: Cheap mounting bracket, the button now lies somewhere within the dash... NO I did not press hard on the flasher button. Repair cost is out of my immediate range for my fixed income.

2) FOUR times the rear window has literally crumbled and broken out. We DO NOT SLAM DOORS, it has happened in the Spring, Summer & Winter. I do not have any enemies, and there is no sign of vandalism (Rock, stone, BB, etc). This is getting costly!
