2010 Skoda Superb SE Estate 2.0 turbo diesel from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Luxury motor for little cash

Faults:

Other than servicing and normal wear and tear, not faults in my ownership. It is a 12 year old car and looking through the details in its history, it has had the usual consumables replaced and timing belt and water pump.

General Comments:

Love this car, stunning in dark red with alloy wheels. Estate has plenty of space, must be one of the biggest in its class, reminds me of an old Volvo I had back in the day.

2.0 TDi is the best all round engine; I believe mine is the 170 bhp version, fast and does 50 mpg, cannot say fairer than that.

Good to drive, and the SE model is mid range and has plenty of electrics. Passengers always comment on what a spacious comfortable car it is.

I have had it a year and put 10,000 miles on it with no major issues. Plan to keep this long term despite the age and mileage getting on a bit. It is cheap reliable transport, but feels like an expensive luxury car, I see no need to change.

The are about as good as family cars will get. Big, economical, comfortable, and with the right engine, fast. Excellent cars. My father had an estate version years ago, it was a great car to be in daily.

2010 Skoda Superb Elegance 1.8 TSI from Israel

Summary:

Superb

Faults:

Noises from the twin-clutch (DSG) system. Replaced with no arguments.

General Comments:

Superb.

Best value for money.

Quiet, runs smoothly, saves fuel, equivalent to any 2.5L competitor, thanks to its surprising TSI flexible engine, which turns you on from as low as 1500 RPM.

Superb German car, and that tells the whole story.

I agree, these cars are great. I have a 2011 cr170 4x4, and despite the extra propshaft etc, still get 40-45 MPG. It's quick too.

2010 Skoda Superb Elegance 1.8 TSi from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Superb

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

Early impression is this auto is amazing value for money.

Build quality is excellent.

Seats not quite as comfortable as a Mondeo GHIA X.

Floor covering quality could be improved.

Quiet (road surface permitting!)

The 1.8 TSi engine with DSG gearbox is better than a Mondeo 2.5 V6 Auto.

Overall MPG so far showing 33.7 (Mondeo V6 was 24.7).

Sold! July 2015: Mileage 14000. Condition as new. 60% depreciation over 4.5 years.

No faults during ownership. A bit heavy on the tyres.

14 000 miles? It's hard to justify the need for a car for such a low yearly mileage.

Thanks for the updates, however the driven distance is way too short for giving an idea about the car's reliability to other users...

These are one of the best used cars on the market at the moment.
