2013 Skoda Superb Laurin & Klement 2.0 TDI from Luxembourg
Summary:
Love it. I will probably buy Skoda Superbs for the rest of my life
Faults:
SEVERE: None
NON-SEVERE:
155k km: Remote heater doesn't work despite attempts to fix it by removing error codes. Not fixed, not worth changing.
164k km: Electric luggage compartment opening needs replacing. 900 EUR.
NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR:
- Chips in front windshield.
- Brake pads and discs as usual.
- Battery.
General Comments:
I will probably buy Skoda Superbs for the rest of my life. Coming from a very unreliable and fragile Renault Laguna 2.2 dci, the upgrade in reliability is ridiculous. I have a car that works and that I can forget about when I am not driving.
Also, I personally like how understated it is vs the actual equipment and comfort.
RELIABILITY: Nothing to worry about in 5 years.
DRIVING: It drives and handles well for a car this size. It is more powerful than I need. I really like the DSG transmission, it's flawless. I am happy with the engine, but I would probably be happy with any engine, as I don't need much.
EQUIPMENT: The equipment on LAURIN & KLEMENT is the best available in the product. Call outs are:
- Heated and ventilated seats in front.
- Heated seats in the back, a favorite of my kids in winter.
- Bluetooth works really well.
- Electrical seats in front.
The only extra I would miss is (a) keyless entry and (b) rearview camera.
PRACTICALITY:
Seats: I am 183cm, and the space is great both in front, but specially in the rear seats which are incredibly spacious for adults, especially legroom.
Luggage space is enormous. Excellent for a family of three kids.
RUNNING COSTS: Probably the cheapest for a car this size.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Well written review, these are good cars, I know taxi drivers that love these and will buy nothing else but Octavias and Superbs - most economical reliable cars you can get.
