Had to replace brakes and tires (what car doesn't)
I bought this car 2 years ago from someone I knew that needed a money fast.
This 1992 Subaru Loyale wagon is probably the ugliest car I have ever owned.
I brought it into my workshop/garage to fix all the problems I found, as I am a perfectionist when it comes to mechanical things.
This is what I found.
ZIP, nothing, nada.
A year later I bought another one for possibly parts for a poultry sum.
Car was too good for parts. Put on Brakes and tires, and gave it to my 16 year old Grandson.
So I bought another 1993 Loyale wagon online for possibly parts without driving it. Had it shipped from Colorado to NC.
$200 later I have two 4 wheel drive work horses.
If the Japanese had their act together like this in 1941, this might have been written in that language.
I am looking for # 4 to fix up and give to grandson # 2.
I have owned at least 50 cars trucks and other types of vehicles in my life including Caddies and Honda's.
I rate this 16 year old car in the top 3.
I had a Subaru loyal 1992, living in Montreal, Canada. I am 28 with 18 cars already past and this one is far most the best. The one car that put shame to the top runner the Honda Civic. Had a couple of those put can't beat that Subaru. Even pushing my 92 beating my friends 92 civic si to his amazment and left him in the dust in any corner. I bout this car at 67, 000 km and made it up to 365 000 kms and the motor still ran like a dream after working with it annd shifting at 6.5 every shift. I can respect the civic put this 1.8 flat beats it hands down, and is by far the most loyal.
