Timing belt had to be replaced at 86,000 miles. It had been replaced 5,000 miles before that. (This cost around $500 only because I knew someone and it took 2 weeks to fix)
CV joints had to be replaced at 93,000 miles.
Front seats are starting to wear.
Vinyl at top of back seats is cracked and peeling off. Wears off more by the day.
The trunk leaks.
Alternator had to be replaced along with battery at 90,000. (These were both replaced once before already)
Headlight had to be replaced.
Seals around windows, hood, and trunk are breaking off.
Air conditioning has had to be fixed 3 times.
The car handles well... which it should because it is AWD.
The gas mileage has decreased with age.
Muffler began rattling for no reason.
Gets you from point a to point b, but there is definitely nothing special about the car. There is something better out there. Don't make the wrong choice.
Don't buy this car!
Stop spewing lies. Its 14 years old idiot! What do you expect from an old used car that sounds like its not taken care of.
I have a 92 Subaru wagon and have had it from new. It runs today nearly as good as it did the first day I bought it... I now use it as my winter vehicle putting it on the road about this time and taking it off in April... apart from the regular maintenance and the air conditioner breaking the car has been like a tank. Just keeps going. The body is still in great shape apart from some small work I had to undertake this year on the drivers front fender... I would recommend this car to anyone... but you do have to look after it and keep the maintenace up.
