2005 Suzuki Alto VXR from Pakistan

Very good car

On first day driving side door was locked and could not open with key. This was repaired.

Next day when ever I speed it up to the speed of 75 Km/hr or more, it started bobbling, I went to service station and found that all four wheels were unbalance.

Air-conditioning pipe is not insulated.

During running when you start AC its accleration is reduced little bit.

No baggage space.

General Comments:

Car price is little bit more than what it should be.

It is relatively comfortable that other cars of same range.

Its dash board and doors are relatively very good.

Its CNG average is very good, 0.90 Pak Rupee per kilometer.

Road grip is perfect.

Front seats very good.

Rear seat is relatively good.

Sound system is acceptable.

Front and rear lighting is perfect and very good looking.

Speed dial and digital meter is very good.

Brakes Good.

Starting was very good.

Very low noise.

Body sheet is relatively good.

Foront look is better then previous model.

Finally overall it is better car.

In Last August, I drove one of the Suzuki model (Mehran VXR) it looks that quality of this model is decreasing day by day. Six or seven year ago, I drove a Suzuki Alto model that is 300 times better quality and performance. Now the quality of Suzuki Mehran is as a kids toy even kids toys are also having better quality. I think Suzuki Management must look into it and save their name and good will in Pakistani market.

Thanks and Regards

An incredible car for the price!!

As many Alto owners will have noticed, the car sometimes "pinks" when accelerating hard.

If travelling on motorways above 60mph, the car sometimes produces a very loud hollow whistle, not sure what causes this, I'm taking it to the garage on Sunday.

Often feels distinctly underpowered, but this is to be expected.

Doesn't sit comfortably at 30mph, 3rd gear is too low, 4th is too high.

Front seats are comfy, but there is little room in the back for adults, and the seats back there are very uncomfy.

For Such a small car, it has quite a big turning circle.

General Comments:

This is a nice little car, I drive to work every day, about 50 miles round trip, on just under £15 petrol a week. Fuel economy is incredible.

Comes with a lot of 'extras' as standard, like ABS and a CD player, but Air Con would have been a nice optional upgrade.

Fantastic value for money!

I have only had the car for a few months, but, touch wood, nothing has gone wrong yet.

General Comments:

The Suzuki Alto is a great little city car. It is comfortable, nippy and easy to park.

Due to its small stature, the Suzuki Alto is particularly good for petite drivers - the seat position is high, giving good visibility of the road, and the pedals are easy to reach without needing to have the seat pulled so far forward, that your chin is resting on the steering wheel!

The boot is small, but gives enough room to fit shopping and essentials. If this isn't enough, the rear seats fold forward to provide more room.

My previous car was a Citroen Saxo, which gave me problem after problem, especially with the engine cutting out at traffic lights, and sometimes even whilst driving. The brakes were also very inefficient, and no matter how often I had them fixed, they still never seemed to be very responsive. I have had none of these problems with the Suzuki Alto.

In conclusion, the Suzuki Alto is a great little car, providing all the essentials for a low purchase cost and very low running costs - If you are watching the pennies, then this is definitely a car to consider!

2005 Suzuki Alto VXR CNG 1.0 from Pakistan

After returning from first free service on 1000km when I checked the floor next morning there was some oil drops, I went back to the service center in afternoon and found the Gear box cracked :) in brand new Alto. Thank God the dealer agreed that it is coz of manufacturer so they complained to the manufacturer and they changed the gear box housing. Then I found 1" extra welding inside the car on right side pillar I complained again and then they grand it. After 2 months when my brother was planning to go somewhere so he parked the car outside he found a bolt and engine became very noisy... we checked in engine room the bolt is loosed from the vibration rubbers which carry the whole engine... whatever the problems, but it is a fact alto vxr with CNG gives the pleasure drive even on AC CNG the car moves with the same accelerator as without ac.

Reliable, efficient and comfortable

Problem starting in Cold weather.

Engine Vibration feels in first and 2nd gear.

General Comments:

It's very Cute and decent car with great performance esp on CNG, the A/C is cool and suspension and ride quality is better. the new crystal lights and dial type interiors give this car a great look. it's better then Suzuki Cultus esp in built quality and ride quality.

Intoduced in Pakistan in 2001, this is indeed a very good car in its class. Low price for a better value. Though it is a little smaller for a family. Very nice ride, perhaps the only small car absobing shocks like a big Cheverolet.
