The JX and the JLX are both pretty much the same. So when you say that when you drove the JX it was a "terrible ride". And when you drove the JLX, you loved it. Well there aren't too many differences between the two. I have a 1993 JX, but it's identical to the JLX, because it had the options of being JS or JLX parts, like tranny, 16v or 8v tbi etc. I find it hard to believe you noticed a difference in ride, same suspension, and maybe 10 hp difference depending on if it was a 8v.

This is normal. When the engine is cold (really cold, like a first start-up on a cold morning) it turns faster in order to warm up to its normal operating temperature. Nothing is wrong with your car.

I have a 95 JX. It has exactly 80,000 miles on it, and the check engine light came on again. The first was at exactly 50,000.
I read a prior comment from a gentleman who has a 96, and he indicated there was a switch beside the steering column. I could not find the switch to reset the light. Does the 95 have the same switch as the 96? I have two two connectors under the dash, but no switch. Is there another way to reset the check engine light on a 95. Help!!

Just a quick note I own a 89 JLX as well and I love it. I just wanted to let you know that mine came with air conditioning. maybe only an option on a few?
