2003 Toyota Landcruiser D4D GX 3.0 turbo diesel from Spain

It would be the best car and it is the worst just because of a big issue

The size of the tires is 225/70R17 for GX and 265/65R17, which makes impossible to get A/T tires for the vehicle.

The model GX has 2 or 3 choices only, which are clearly outrageous (about 240 euros each), and only asphalt models can be bought. Additionally, other sizes do not fit unless severe and costly changes are done.

A 16" wheel cannot be used because of the big size of the brakes.

Toyota Spain refuses any responsibility on the problem, with excuses such as "tire manufacturer problem" or even providing impossible solutions such as new dimensions that do not fit the vehicle.

General Comments:

Therefore, the vehicle cannot be used in slipping surfaces because of the lack of grip.

The car is sold as an off road vehicle, but it is not since off road tires do not exist.

Be aware of the dealers, because maintenance can be extremely expensive and not many of them are really experts.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

I must say I'm astonished about the lack of accountability for off-roading wheels and tires by Toyota for the D4D, really astonished especially because this is from Toyota, one of the heritage off-roader makers.

I anticipate Land Rover does not have the same problem.
