1997 Vauxhall Calibra review from UK and Ireland
"An affordable everyday sports car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Oxygen sensor went at 93,000 miles, but the supermarket has recently admitted liability for this due to dodgy fuel.
Engine cooling fan switch broke, but this only cost 15.00 pounds to fix.
Other than this, nothing more than regular maintenance issues have gone wrong with the car.
General comments?
This car is seriously quick and handles like it's on rails.
If you want an affordable sports car that you can use everyday, buy one of these. Under everyday driving conditions, it costs as much as a normal family car, and yet if you push it a bit it is an excellent ride, but won't guzzle the fuel.
Never want mine to die, will keep it forever as it is the best car I have ever owned.
And still looks excellent for a car which was originally released in the early 1990's.
