Yep! Me also. I'm glad I read your comment because for the past year, every time it rains my floor boards fill up with water. It never had done this until this last winter. I have a 2002 limited edition new Beetle, and it still doesn't make any sense to me where the water is coming from, because my seats and roof and doors are dry to the touch. Maybe it is coming in from the windshield wipers, but it is very annoying to have to get out the wet and dry vac and such all that damn water out every time it rains really good.

Now two days ago my driver side electric window decided that it's not going to go up for me... fun!!! And last month my lens on my headlight fell off somewhere, CD problems, the list goes on...

I also have a 2002 Beetle, first drivers side window wouldn't work, then CD problems, now water leaking problems. I blew out sunroof drains. Now back floor drivers side are wet after it rains. My wife loves the car, but me the care taker hates it. Would not buy another.

My 2002 Beetle had headlight troubles (I would bang on it and sometimes I was lucky!) but that was the smallest problem. The instrument cluster was luckily still under warranty, as was all the other warning lights that would come on.

Oh and the water collecting in the trunk stank!

Then that lease was up and I got a 2006 Beetle perfect car for 3 1/4 years (I knew the other one was a lemon!), but now I have a airbag light on and rain water collecting at my feet. I live in the Pacific North West - it always rains.

Why do I torture myself?

I own a 2002 New Beetle. It's hard to believe, but I have the exact same problems as everyone else. I wish I had researched the vehicle. Such a cute car with such huge problems. I will never own another VW!!!
