Electric water pump was leaking like a sieve when I first got the car.
Previous owner put the wrong spark plugs in (had to buy new ones at $6.99 each)
Unresolved electrical issue with ticking relay and power window fuse blowing every other day.
#5 fuel injector decided to stop working. The car was running on 5 cylinders for a short amount of time and my spark plug was completely gas soaked.
I had all of the above fixed (with the exception of the electrical issue) and parts replaced (new injector, 6 new Bosch dual electrode plugs and new electric waterpump) for $503.00 -
To be honest, I really like the sample comment and think it's very fitting.
"This car is seriously quick and handles like it's on rails."!!
I gotta say, I never would have expected anything like this out of a Volkswagen, especially such a little car. I am surprised at what it can do every time I get into it.. I find myself going out for drives to nowhere in particular and drag racing everybody I come in contact with..
I can't tell you what a thrill it is to have people drive by in Porsches and slow down to take a second look at my car.. It's also great not seeing a car just like yours on every street corner!
Some day I'll have more money and I will have several Corrados. Yes, they are quirky, but I love them anyway.
Where else are you going to get a car that small with such a big engine? 178 horsepower stock. >:)
If the injector wasn't working, how was the spark plug gas soaked??
