"This car is WORSE than an american car"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

My sunroof no longer works, dealer quoted about 400-600 dollars to repair.

Drivers and passengers side windows have failed dealer quoted 400-600 to repair each.

Electronics have been a nightmare.

New shocks about 800-1000 dollars.

Actually running out of room for rest.

General comments?

To continue, electronics have been a nightmare, quoted about 1200 for new wire harness just to diagnose computer code error messages.

I have stopped trying to put on the side plastic panels they keep falling off.

I have spent more on rotors and brakes than the entire maintenance for my previous car, a honda.

I am 100% agreed with you! Besides the engine, this is a piece of junk! Wait until you have the coolant leaking problems! you should get rid of it when it is still movable.

The car is ten years old, and electronics do wear out. Buy aftermarket shocks...$800 to $1000 means you're getting ripped off. If these are your only problems, the car really isn't that bad then, now is it?

I agree they are junk. I am a VW mechanic and I would always tell everyone to buy a Honda; my Integra GSR is still better than any VW out there.

I'm sorry you seem to have had a bad experience with your VW. Most of the people on here who flame MK3 Vw's need to realize that while they aren't vintage Mustangs or Camaros, you need a support network to own one and have fun with one. There are tons of on line forums to join and there are regional clubs all over the US who provide support to VW owners and you'll find that most VW owners have plenty of spares for parts, they'll let go for really cheap and sometimes free...www.vwvortex.com.
