1998 Volkswagen Passat TDI 110 review from France
What things have gone wrong with the car?
A multitude of minor but irritating electrical faults, principally because it was one of the very first production models of the latest Passats. Problems include replacement Immotronic immobiliser, electric window switch, broken driver's seat back, interior lights failing ... Nothing mechanical, though.
General comments?
The best car I have owned so far. Will do 100mph all day long and returns between 50 & 60 mpg. Very comfortable, though dampers could be better.
I just ordered a new model - the 115 TDI - with all the options.
