1996 Volvo 940 GLE HPT Turbo review from UK and Ireland
"Nothing to match it"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Absolutely nothing apart from a couple of bulbs.
Speedo sticks occasionally, but a sharp tap close to the needle always makes it see sense!
General comments?
This is my third Volvo. I've had a 240 GLE and and 940 GLE Turbo previously. Main reason for buying is the ease of being able to service it without needing an "ology" to open the bonnet. What I save on servicing costs makes the car a dream to own.
These cars are seriously good value for money, handle like they are on rails, and for the money, there's nothing to touch them.
Comment from our local dealer (not the selling dealer).
"Look after it, and it will last you for ever" "These were the best model Volvo ever produced". I'd buy it off you today, and have it sold by lunchtime!!
