2000 Volvo S40 review from Austria
"Exercise caution."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The transmission blew once without any warning. The flange in the mechanism between the engine and the clutch blew all its remaining rivets. Poor design as the entire flange had to be replaced. This is expensive and takes a lot of time.
The other problem that happens frequently is that the trunk gets locked with the remote and doesn't unlock anymore. This is very problematic for travelling as the luggage has to be recovered through the back seat.
General comments?
Does anyone have an email address for feedback to and solution/suggestion from Volvo ?.
